I wrote a little earlier to tell you about The Affiliate Conspiracy by Eric Rockefeller.

If you’re like me, you’ve received half a dozen emails yesterday and today about The Affiliate Conspiracy from Eric Rockefeller.

I have to be honest. I’m always annoyed when I get a flood of emails from dozens of people all promoting the same product. And, truth be told, I usually shun the product they are promoting because I hate getting hammered with the emails.

However, I got a little lucky with this one because I got one email about it a little earlier than the others, and checked it out before the barrage started. Eric is giving away a free report claiming to give you one of his currently profitable niches for free. I’m a sucker, so I bit.

I was actually really surprised though. I got the report right away and he actually does give away one of his live niches with real links, and the actual Adwords ads he is using to promote it. He even gives you some of the keywords he is using in that Adwords campaign.

This isn’t some bunk niche either. It’s actually a really good niche, and I’m surprised at how little competition there really is in it. So, he’s leaving himself wide-open for you to come by and steal his niche.

Sorry if this sounds to hyped up, but this is one of the first times I think one of these “free” reports has actually lived up to the promise. If you’re looking for affiliate marketing strategies and help, the best advice I can give you is to head on over to the Warrior Forums.

If you’ve been around affiliate marketing and internet marketing for any time now, I’m sure you’ve already heard about it. But, if you haven’t spent anytime over there, you’re really doing yourself a disservice.

There is a great group of people going on over there, and they are dishing out great information freely on a daily basis. The information I’ve learned in a relatively short amount of time has been invaluable.

Besides the learning, there is also the motivation factor. These guys and gals will push you and encourage you to take massive action and succeed. They have no mercy for wanna-bes. They’ll show you how to do it, but it’s up to you to take massive action.

Some of the best affiliate marketing strategies I’ve ever heard are being discussed in detail right now. I’m amazed that on a daily basis someone is making a post and sharing their most prized information for free.

If you want to rub elbows with some of the top affiliate and internet marketers like Jeff Walker, Jason Moffatt, and Willie Crawford, head over to Warrior Forums now.

I’ll get to the steps quickly, but I first want to share a short story with you.

I got an email earlier today from my younger brother basically venting about how frustrated he was with himself that things weren’t going the way that he wanted them to. He’s not been able to find a job, so he has no money. We’ve talked about getting him into making money online, but he just hasn’t jumped into it yet.

Everything he said got me really fired up and motivated to help him, so I fired off a quick response with step by step instructions on what he needed to do RIGHT NOW to get started making money online. After I wrote it all out and sent it off I thought, you know what, this would be great for others to hear too. So, here’s a word for word copy of what I sent to him (personal fluff edited out to spare you the boredom) (edit: specific niche removed, but this works for any niche).

You’ve got what it takes to succeed in life. You just have to apply
the right things at the right time. You’re a smart guy with a lot of
knowledge. Just apply what you know. You know that you can make
money on the internet. Now just figure out the best way for you, and
apply it. I honestly believe the best way for you to make money on
the internet is using Adsense and content sites. You can do this for
FREE. It just takes effort.

Here’s how.

1. Pick a niche that you’re interested in that you can make money at:
   hint: [INSERT YOUR NICHE HERE] is a huge niche and makes tons of money
2. Go create a blogger blog at blogger.com: use something that
   includes your niche keyword like: YOURNICHE.blogspot.com.
3. Start writing short posts with info about your niche: for example,
   - How I learned [interesting topic from your niche]
   - 3 Simple Steps to [important topic from your niche]
4. Add Adsense ads to your blogger blog
5. Go to clickbank.com and sign up for an account
6. Search the clickbank marketplace for products in your market that
   you can promote on your blog
7. Create a “hoplink” for that product from within clickbank.
8. Go back and add your hoplink to your posts on your blogger blog.
9. Use all the techniques you know to generate traffic to your blog: for example
   - Make a Squidoo lens that points to your blog
   - Create bookmarks to your blog posts on all the popular bookmarking
   sites like Digg.com and del.icio.us
   - Stumble your posts using StumbleUpon
   - Post intelligent comments on other blogs in your niche and use
   your blog URL as the URL when you post the comment
   - Post intelligent responses in forums in your niche and include a
   link to your blog in your signature.

This is not rocket science stuff and it’s all FREE. Just do it! It
takes work, but you CAN make money at it.

I hadn’t ever heard of Jason Moffatt until I started watching the Product Launch Formula Workshop videos that I got as a bonus for my purchase of PLF 2.0. Jason was one of the guest experts at the workshop and shows up quite a bit in the videos. Some of the advice he gives on the videos is outstanding.

I got a wild hair the other night and did a quick lookup on Jason and found his blog, and read through quite a few of the posts. There’s tons of good info there. Especially important to me were the videos and how he uses video to promote. This is powerful stuff.

If you’re interested in putting video to use in your internet marketing, you should check out Jason’s site.

If you’re looking to make some money with Adsense, this is probably one of the quickest and easiest ways to do it. It’s only a few simple steps and I’ll outline it all below.

Take a look at Funny Video Stop for an example of what we’ll be talking about. This site is simply a video posting site with lots of funny video clips. But, you’ll also notice that there are plenty of Adsense ads on the site as well. The videos are just embedded in the site, so there is no additional bandwidth since they are streamed right from the source. It’s really quite an ingenious little way to get traffic and make some money.

You see, people love to watch videos. They might like videos of people doing stupid stuff, or getting hurt, or cute little animals. But, almost everyone enjoys seeing some kind of video clip. And, there are tons of sites out there that host the videos for you for free. All you have to do is “embed” the video on your site, and your users can watch it directly on your site. When they’re done watching, what do you think they’ll do? Hopefully, they’ll click on an ad.

Here’s what you need to do to get setup.

1. Register a domain
   
   Look for one that has to do with the type of videos that you’d like to post like: http://www.funnyvideostop.com. I especially like this one because it has the words funny, video, videos, top, and stop in the domain. Search engines will eat this up.
2. Setup a web hosting account
   
   There are many hosts that you could go with. A couple that I use and have had good success with are Dreamhost and Hostgator
   . Both of them offer great plans for someone who is trying to setup a new site without spending a lot of money. In fact, with both of them, you can host as many domains as you want to with a single account for about $10 a month. That’s a great deal.
3. Get Wordpress installed
   This might sound too technical for you, but both Dreamhost and Link Hostgator
   offer one-click installs of Wordpress. All you have to do is follow their instructions and you’ll be setup in no time.
4. Setup an Adsense account
   If you haven’t already done this, go do it now. Now that you have a site setup, use that as the domain when setting up your Adsense account.
5. Install an Adsense Ready theme for Wordpress
   This may also sound a little too technical for some, but it is really easy. I personally like the ProSense theme from DoshDosh like the one used over at Funny Video Stop. You can get it here.
6. Make sure your Adsense ID is in the theme
   This is the one downfall of the ProSense theme. You’ll have to manually make sure that your Adsense ID is inserted into the them instead of theirs. Otherwise, you won’t get credit for all the clicks. Updating the theme is a little outside the scope of this article, but I’ll write it up in another. Or you can just contact me using the contact form on this site, and I’ll help you out.
7. Find some videos to post
   There are tons of sites out there that give you the code to insert their videos directly on your site. You can go to YouTube, Myspace Videos, Metacafe, Break.com, and my new personal favorite Hulu. Once you find a video you like, look for the code to “embed” in your site. Each one of them is a little different, but they are all similar. Again, this is a little outside the scope of this post, but contact me if you have troubles and I’ll help you out.
8. Post the videos to your site
   Now, you can just go to your Wordpress admin and Write a new post. Try to include some good keywords in your post title, but make it readable. Also, put in a good description of the video in the body of the post, and then copy/paste your embed code into the post and publish.
9. Now go spread the link
   Now you have a video posted, but there’s no traffic! Well, let’s fix that. Head over to your favorite social bookmarking site like del.icio.us or Digg and post the link to your video. If you have a StumbleUpon account, you should also Stumble your new post and you’ll start seeing traffic almost right away. The last time I did this I saw about 200 visitors within 24 hours. If you don’t have a StumbleUpon account, get over there and sign up now. Ideally, you would have some of your friends Stumble your page for you. If you Stumble too many of your own pages, StumbleUpon can penalize you, or close your account so be careful.
10. Rinse and repeat
    Do this over and over to keep driving traffic to your site.

This is a quick and easy way to build a site that will get good traffic and make you good money online.

Again, these are just a few of the many, many ways that you can make money online. I plan to use this site to teach you how to make money online in many different ways. I believe that it is very important to diversify your revenue stream so that if any one of them dies out, you’ll still have others to continue to pay the bills.

One of the best ways I’ve found to make money online is through affiliate marketing. The great thing about this is that it can be done in a way that allows you to get setup quickly and to quickly make some cash. However, this is by no means the “auto-pilot cash machine” that many people will hype up to get you to buy their ebook on how to make money. There is a fair amount of work involved in even the simplest affiliate marketing system. So, if you’re not willing to put in the effort, then I’m not going to be able to help.

Another great way to make an income online is through Adsense. This is another easy to get setup technique that allows you to quickly build an income online. The site you’re looking at right now draws in money for me from Adsense. What I plan to do is help you learn the best and easiest ways to setup a site to make money from Adsense. This is the closest thing to an “auto-pilot cash machine” that you’ll find, but still requires a fair amount of work and maintenance.
