Liked your WP/Mu video intro!
Learned a lot within the 10 minute time. I’ve just started and was wondering if you can help with the installation process?
I’m using GoDaddy. I’ve read some install info/blogs on the net but rather contradictory.
spicer, I’ll try to work on putting together an installation video for you. The one thing that is important to know if you plan to use subdomains with Wordpress MU is that you have to have wildcard domains enabled on your account. I’m not sure if GoDaddy does this by default, but I know I had to request it from Dreamhost. A lot of hosts don’t enable it by default, and some won’t enable it at all.
So, keep that in mind before deciding which way to host.
TommyG, I haven’t made any changes to my PLR just because I’ve been lazy about it. I would definitely recommend at least spinning the articles and inserting RSS feeds if you’re not going to spend the time to rewrite the articles. There is a duplicate content penalty if you don’t do some sort of rewriting, but a lot of that depends on how widespread your PLR pack is.
I’m signed up for NicheRevolution for my PLR. It’s from the Callen brothers, who in my opinion, put out some rock-solid software like Keyword Elite, SEO Elite, and HyperVRE in addition to the high-quality PLR content they put out for NicheRevolution.
Fair warning though, that the member’s forum has really dropped off lately, and I think most of the crowd are completely to silent or a little to green to make use of the content. But, that makes it easier for those that put it to good use to monetize it.
I really enjoyed the video. I have been using Worpdress for almost two years and have never even heard of the mu version. Sound like just the thing I need for a new series of blogs I am doing on Offshore Finence. Now I can set up a blog for each country under the same domain, without having to install WP over and over cheers for this. Look forward to more videos from you.
One of the only downsides to MU is that it is a standalone project, so it’s not upgraded as often as regular Wordpress. So, it’s quite a few versions behind.
But, it is still fully functional and all the plugins I have tried with it still work. It also still has widget support and all the themes I have tried still work. So, it really has been exactly what I needed.

Nice info. Just wondering about the dup content penalty. You are using unchanged PLR? Which PLR membership do you subscribe to? Just wondering.

Yes it is really easy to produce articles with the help of PLR but you still need to rewrite it well or just get the idea and make another article.
